Best Shampoo
Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Time Renewal Shampoo £2.99
The archetypal Pantene girl has hair so shiny, you can almost see your reflection in it. Rich in cuticle-smoothing silicon, the bestselling Time Renewal Shampoo may not carry any natural credentials, but it can be relied on to give hair a soft-as-silk finish that makes you want to run your fingers through it all day long.
If you like this try James Brown Chemically Treated Hair Shampoo (£5.99). It contains milk proteins and white tea to put life and shine back into frazzled, coloured hair.
Best Conditioner
John Frieda Brilliant Brunette, Sheer Blonde and Radiant Red Conditioner £4.49
For such a reasonable price, the softening results of John Frieda’s colour conditioners are undeniably good. The purple-toned Sheer Blonde eliminates brassiness, Brilliant Brunette gives multidimensional shine to coffee-coloured hair and Radiant Red stops auburn hair looking washed out. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle (£4.49), the peachy balm that deep-conditions in next to no time, came a close second.
If you like this try Shu Uemura Art of Hair Full Shimmer Treatment (£35; 0800 633 5021), a deeply moisturising mask that adds lustre.
Best Styling Product
John Frieda Frizz-Ease Serum £5.98
Launched in 1990, this serum is a godsend for unruly locks, sealing moisture into curly and straight hair, so it falls either in perfectly formed ringlets or in a glassy curtain. And don’t we know it. It sells at a breakneck rate – 3½ bottles a minute in 2007. There are now four formulas: the original, extra-strength, one for heat protection and an overnight serum. The runner-up was Elnett hairspray (£1.98 for 75ml), the session hairstylist’s choice for lasting hold.

I also cant find the beauty goodies link to enter the competion. The answer is Origins Organics
Please can you ley me know how to enter. Thanks
Teresa Davey, London, England
Totally agree with Lyndsay. With so much non-animal-tested stuff available, there really is no excuse for buying stuff that is.
leila woollam, twyford, uk
The priority for me is whether or not it's animal tested. There are now a huge variety of brands that don't test on animals and it's not necessary for purely cosmetic purposes anymore.
Lyndsay, Dublin, Ireland
Personally I put myself above animals - most important is it works and it's safe. If they can do that without testing on animals then fine - but that's a lower priority for me
Paul, England,

Donna
Donna Milton, St Albans, Herts
Surely whether or not the product (or its ingredients) has been tested on animals should be the most important factor??
Shaz, Glasgow,
Hi, I can't find the link either. Answer is Origins Organics.
E DEVLIN, Ryton, England
I'm also looking for the beauty goodies link! But at least I've found this website.
Mandy, Birmingham, England
I have spent the last hour looking for beauty goodies competition. The answer is origins organics. I could really do with a goodie bag!
Kate Geoghegan, Dublin, Ireland
You have to be kidding about pantene - it causes a wax buildup and is terrible for your hair! Origins is fabulous but personally I prefer Federic Fekkai hair care - it's actually good for your hair too!
Natalya, Chapel Hill, NC, US
