The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited SportScotland National Centre Inverclyde, Burnside Road, Largs, Ayrshire, and were received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Ayrshire and Arran (Mr. John Duncan), the Chief Executive of SportScotland (Mr. Stewart Harris) and the Provost of North Ayrshire Council (Provost Robert Rae).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness met members of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Committee and then, escorted respectively by the Principal of Inverclyde and Cumbrae (Mr. John Kent) and the Chairperson of SportScotland (Mrs. Louise Martin), toured the Centre, viewing sporting activities taking place.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh later visited Golden Jubilee National Hospital, Beardmore Street, Clydebank, and were received by Her Majesty's Acting Lord-Lieutenant of Dunbartonshire (Miss Gillian Aitkenhead), the Chairman, NHS National Waiting Times Centre (Dr. Lindsay Burley) and Mrs. Jill Young (Chief Executive).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness, escorted respectively by the Chief Executive and the Chairman, toured the Hospital, meeting staff, former and existing patients, and volunteers, before The Queen formally opened the West of Scotland Heart and Lung Centre.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were entertained to Luncheon this afternoon by Ms. Nicola Sturgeon (Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing) at the Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre, Beardmore Street, Clydebank, to mark the Sixtieth Anniversary of the National Health Service in Scotland.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh afterwards visited Scottish Water's Water Treatment Works, Barrachan, Milngavie, and were received by Mrs. Morag Hart (Deputy Lieutenant of Dunbartonshire), the Chairman of Scottish Water (Mr. Ronnie Mercer), Mr. Richard Ackroyd (Chief Executive), Mr. Gustavo Watt (Katrine Water Project Manager, Scottish Water) and the Provost of East Dunbartonshire Council (Provost Alexander Hannah).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness viewed children's projects and met the children, before touring the Water Treatment Plant and meeting members of staff.
The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, subsequently officially opened Katrine Water Project.
The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Earl of Wessex this morning visited Claremont Gardens, Surbiton, Surrey, to celebrate the Centenary of the Coronation Clock Tower, dedicated to King Edward VII, and was received by Colonel Geoffrey Godbold (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
His Royal Highness later visited the Rose Theatre, High Street, Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey.
The Earl of Wessex this afternoon opened the new Arts and Engineering Building at Brooklands College, Weybridge Campus, Heath Road, Weybridge, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Mrs. Timothy Goad).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened a new building, Taigh Solais, at Tobermory Harbour, Isle of Mull, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Argyll and Bute (Mr. Kenneth MacKinnon).
The Princess Royal, President, Animal Health Trust, this evening attended a Dinner at Newbury Racecourse and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (the Hon. Mrs. Bayliss).
