London-based investment trust RIT, run by Lord Rothschild, 71, saw its shares power ahead in 2007 and 2008 while Atticus, the New York hedge fund run by his son Nat, 36, above, was 26% up by the end of 2007. Atticus is worth £700m and we value Nat’s stake at £350m. He also has a £300m stake in TriGranit, the eastern European property company. The family stake in RIT is worth £418m and the family has other assets.
