After transforming its 92-acre Harley Street estate in central London, the Howard de Walden family is involved in the £1 billion regeneration of Rochester in Kent. The family is led by the 10th Baroness, 72, the eldest of four daughters of the late Lord Howard de Walden, who died in 1999. In 2006-07, Howard de Walden Estates saw its profits rise from £41.1m to £45.5m on £53.8m sales and showed £106.3m net assets. Dividends and other property assets add to their wealth.
