Cohen, 62, has warned that the growing gap between rich and poor could lead to violence on the streets. He made his fortune as co-founder of private equity house Apax Partners but now runs Bridges Ventures, a London fund manager that invests in deprived areas and in projects that bring social benefits. City sources reckon Cohen, an adviser to the prime minister, is still easily worth £260m after hefty charitable donations.
