In April 2008 I booked an airline ticket from Crete to UK via easyjet on-line. When I reached Heraklion airport on the day of departure, they had my name down twice at the desk and indeed I had been charged twice. I have tried to get a refund but can not get anyone to take responsibility.

Flying Madrid-London on BA turned out to be an Iberia flight; arriving 5 hr late at the wrong airport = £100 cab home at 2am. BA shirks responsibility despite their carriage of contract and Iberia customer service in Spain is a joke. Less than I bargained for with 'the world's favourite airline'.

Help! Live in quite a rural area (2 miles from major A road so not in the back of beyond all the same). Our phone line has been off for two weeks now, no explanation from BT, no estimated time to fix. As for broadband, we subscribe, but can rarely get on. Who do i go to next? HOw to fix?

I have reported to 2 loan companies and Callcredit Ltd the fraudulent use of our household address by an acquaintance who is a member of a residents association to which we are both volunteer helpers.
The loan companies will not remove our address from their files without the authority of their debtor.
This situation is not acceptable. Correspondence sent here addressed to this person has been returned to both loan companies, but neither have acknowledged receipt.
I have maintained a file of correspondence with the companies and Callcredit. Please can you advise what steps we should now take to safeguard our credit worthiness. This acquaintance wouldn't welcome a communication from a solicitor, and our address would still appear on these Lenders' files. Look forward to your assistance.
S Gardner, Newhaven,
Do you think it is appropriate for Rebecca O'Connor to be seen posed with a gun in her hand in these present times of gun crime ? I think it is definately incorrect. I enjoy her column and the information therein but believe she should be able to be photographed as a troubleshooter without the gun
Sheila Try, Birmingham,
Haven't been billed correctly by NPower for 2 yrs for electricity. They informed me that meter serial number is not registered to my property. Calls and letters to them and ombudsman - no progress. I have a low income and living on my own. Powergen used to bill correctly. Need to move house soon

Hi, I don't know whether you can help me or not with this. I had shares which cost £15,000 in the Insurance Service Plc when it went bust. Ernst and Young have just been fines >£1m by the FSA for their part in the collapse. Do I have any action available to me - I lost every penny? Thanks

Re the on going saga of BT and Broadband I have been informed by my ISP that BT have recently re-classified the MSR and FTR values for consumer adsl lines . My values have dropped by about 30%. This is a con by BT to avoid ISP's being able to log a fault to BT caused by slower Download speeds.

I withdrew £1220 in cash to pay my NatWest Gold Card, believing my account would be credited instantly. The NatWest branch told me the payment would take 3 days to process. What NatWest is operating is payment piracy. What this country needs is a credit card for charging to bitter experience.

I have a holding of £22,350 in Premium Bonds and the last prize I received was six months ago in December 2007. Had I invested the monies elsewhere I would have earned over £600 in interest. I am now thinking of cashing in my holding and invest ing these monies to give me a more predictable return.

LV have refused to continue insuring my children on my policy even though they are away at university and only borrow the car when available during holidays. We have made no claims and have had no accidents. This has happened part way through the year and seems very unfair. The risk has not altered.

I have a Homecare contract with centrica for gas and electrical appliances. The ring main failed in the house which was repaired. It then failed again a year ago and I have complained and I cannot get a response.
Any ideas where I can go next to get this resolved?

I have been waiting 8 weeks for Orange to connect me to broadband. Their so-called Help line is no such thing. When you call they take ages to read through all the notes and then say, for example, 'Ring the technical line'; you do but then they say ring the Service line - you get nowhere.
R. Rice, Hove,
LLoyds overseas ATMs invariably let us down - despite warning in advance. They excuse by saying they have phoned us at home and couldnt get a reply!
Never have had a problem with my NatWest credit card so despit being charged interest etc I find this less hassle

Benefitting from age (nearly 90) and experience working in large concerns (RAF and ICI as was), in which clangers are occasionally dropped, I take three cards abroad. On one trip only one worked but I was OK.
Young optimists should take abroad several cards in future, not just one.

I am a victim of the Cash-back scam from mobile phone operators. Their agents use fancy web-sites to lure you to sign up to expensive mobile phone contacts, believing I would receive payments of cash-back.
I'm owed £618 from the "3 " G, network yet!
Is this in your line of business please?

Banks, businesses appear unable to correct the Postcode obtained from Business Postcode source although the correct one is on the internet postcode personals site. Cards are being sent to wrong address, fraud and replacement cards/pin numbers all going to the wrong address.Surprised not reported.

Dear Rebecca O'Connor,
I am currently in dispute with Jet2.com over a similar problem experienced by Christopher Green as described in your article in todays' paper. So far the company have been unbending, but my credit card company (Mastercard) are pursuing the issue with Jet2's bankers, and have suggested I might ask Trading Standards for an opinion. In any case I intend to take the matter to the Small Claims Court if necessary. Please let me know if you are interested in full details.
Yours sincerely,

I don't understand when there are real concerns about gun crime that you choose the name troubleshooter and illustrate the articles with a woman with a gun. Is there some post-modern irony that I'm missing here or is it just thoughtlessness?
Malcolm Pye, Aberdeen, UK
My car was hit when stationary at a ped crossing on 12 Dec 2007. The other driver admitted liability. The insurers Churchill said my car was a write-off, and offered me £3000. I refused this and told Churchill that their inspector hadn't noticed the alloy wheels and spoiler . They then offered £3270 but I told them I wanted £3500 as the true market value., but Churchill said they would not increase their offer. Internet research showed retailers advertising the identical model at £3590, £90 more than I am prepared to settle for. This evidence of true market value was sent to Churchill in a recorded delivery letter on 4 February. The letter has been ignored but Churchill are bombarding me with other requests and haven't answered an even earlier letter. I am not allowed a courtesy car because I did not accept their first offer.. I am a carer for my 92 year old mother and must use my husband's car to visit her daily. Is this really true comprehensive cover when I am blameless?
Yvonne Walsh, Spalding, Lincolnshire
As you might be aware in rural locations the only gas supply is often LPG. Our home has an LPG tank buried in the garden which means that we are tied to the company who own the tank â in our case Flo Gas. We hire this tank from them and they wanted to get us on to 5 year contract. I declined to do this and pay the hire whenever they invoice - about £80/£100 a year.
When it comes to the LPG it is expensive. When we started in August last year it was 32p/litre with a 2p/litre surcharge then the surcharge went up to 5p/litre â now it is 39.35p/litre with a 2p/litre surcharge. My bills are very high in winter especially for central heating.
We canât get a competitive quote as we are tied into our tank owner. I have heard that this may change and they will put a limit this ownership and another supplier being able to purchase the tank. Is this so?
Also why do they do the surcharge? Then put the cost up and add another surcharge? Are they monitored?
