Henley Business School, in association with The Times, is offering a scholarship worth almost £40,000 for the Henley Executive MBA programme.

The Henley Executive MBA is a two-year, part-time programme for experienced, practising managers looking to complete their MBA alongside full-time employment. It is designed for those with experience and achievements to share.

The scholarship will be awarded to the candidate that Henley Business School believes will add the greatest value to the programme. Worth £39,950, it will cover tuition fees for the Executive MBA programme, plus accommodation for two study visits.

Henley is looking for an exceptional individual demonstrated through academic attainment, experience or any other skill or ability.

To be eligible for the scholarship, you will need to apply for the Henley Executive MBA programme. For this, you will need: three years' management experience; a first degree or equivalent professional qualification; evidence of competence in English, if it is not your first language; and access to company data for assignment purposes.

Scholarship applicants will also have to produce a 250-word personal statement outlining the value that they will bring to the programme. Focus on academic achievements and experiences and anything else that you think makes you stand out as a candidate.

The deadline for this scholarship application is 5pm on Friday, May 8.

Candidates shortlisted for the scholarship will be invited to a selection day at Henley. This involves a group exercise, a personal interview with a member of faculty and other assessment processes. On this day, Henley will be assessing both your application for the MBA programme as well as completing our search for the best candidate for the scholarship.

The scholarship panel will meet after the selection day to decide who will be offered the scholarship award.

If you attended the selection day, you will be contacted by June 3 with either a formal offer to attend the Henley Executive MBA in September 2009, together with the scholarship award offer, or a formal offer to attend the Henley Executive MBA in September 2009 but without the offer of the scholarship.
