1 Competition open to UK and ROI residents only over the age of 18, except employees of Times Newspaper Limited (“TNL”), Henley Management School and their affiliated companies, their families, agents or anyone connected with this competition.

2 All essays must be submitted, as Word documents, electronically to mbascholarship@henleymc.ac.uk by midnight (British Summer Time) on June 27 2007. All essays must be written in English and must not exceed 1,500 words excluding bibliography and appendices.

3 There is one scholarship only. The scholarship worth £30,300 will cover the tuition fees, for the executive modular MBA programme at Henley Management College plus the travel and accommodation for two study visits one European and one international. Residential accommodation at the college is also included for the first residential workshop each year at Henley.

4 Entrants must be able to accept a place on the programme starting on September 13 2007. This includes having the support from their employer to take the necessary days off work to attend the programme at Henley.

5. Entrants must be eligible for the executive modular MBA based on the colleges admission requirements. These are: a first degree or equivalent, a minimum of three years appropriate management experience and relevant academic or business references. All entrants must submit an MBA application form in addition to their essay.

6 By entering, all entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and any associated entry requirements. Any breach of these terms and conditions by an entrant will void their entry. Misrepresentative or fraudulent entries will invalidate an entry. TNL reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. Any amendments will be published here.

7 TNL will not be liable for any failure of receipt of entries. TNL takes no responsibility for any entries which are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.

8 Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. TNL and Henley Management College will retain joint copyright on any entries, and by entering the competition, the entrants assign all copyright in their entry to TNL and Henley Management College.

9 Only one entry per person. The winners are responsible for ensuring they are able to accept the prize as set out in and in accordance with these terms and conditions in the event they are unable to do so then TNL reserves the right to redraw the prize. Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available.

10 By entering, winners agree to their names and general locations being used for publicity purposes by TNL and Henley Management College in any and all media.

11 TNL will not be liable for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network connections which may limit or prohibit an eligible entrant's ability to participate in the competition. Other than death or personal injury arising from the acts or omissions of TNL or its employees, TNL will not be liable for any loss or damage arising out the winners’ (or their guests’) enjoyment of the prize.

12 The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winner will be announced by The Times and Henley Management College by August 20.

13 TNL reserve the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the competition (including altering prizes) if, in our sole discretion, a competition is not capable of being conducted as specified. TNL reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value in the event that circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable.
