Blake Fielder-Civil, husband of the singer Amy Winehouse, is due to be sentenced for helping to beat up a pub landlord and then trying to bribe him. Michael Brown, 25, from Carshalton, Surrey, admitted the same charges.

The defence is due to begin in the trial of Barry George, accused of murdering TV presenter Jill Dando.
Michael Johnson, who has admitted the manslaughter of his 81-year-old father, is due to be sentenced. Professor Lee Johnson was one of the world’s leading experts on the French painter Eugène Delacroix.
The trial continues of John Twomey and five others accused of a £1.75 million hold-up at Menzies World Cargo at Heathrow airport in February 2004. During the raid a gang of six men tied up 16 members of staff, shooting at one who attempted to escape.
The defence case is expected to begin in the trial of Noor Azura Mohd-Yusoff, 22, and Trach Lon Gian, 26, accused of murdering Xing Xing Xie, a Chinese student whose headless body was found floating in the Thames in April 2007.
