I’m based in San Francisco and have frequently flown with BA. They've lost and damaged my baggage and offered little help and no compensation. On one occasion they gave my reserved seat to a BA employee. They openly refer to their Economy passengers as “steerage” and treat them with utter contempt.

Rude and useless. Flights cancelled with no contact. Tried to stop me checking in one minute after official time even though I am highest level frequent flyer and had only hand luggage. Took two months to get a for email reply with no compensation or credit or anything.. cheap flights, cheap service
