A sleek digital camera which also takes movies and that looks as good as the pictures it takes. It’s slim enough to fit into a suit breast pocket yet still has a high-quality large screen to view your snaps. It takes 5.1 megapixel images and has a three times optical and four times digital zoom. Primarily a point-and-shoot camera that has some settings for the adventurous and a lighting feature to recover dark shots for the more incompetent.

Verdict: Ice cool.

Popstar tresses can be yours. GHD’s mini styler won’t quite fit into your handbag, but its thin barrels make curling, straightening or flicking your hair easy unless your name’s Rapunzel. GHD says that the mini styler is “ideal for short hair or use by men” but Career couldn’t find a man who could be bothered. Sigh.

Verdict: Pimp your hair.
