Staff are evidently enamoured and give a positive score of 88% for being excited about where the agency is going, saying they would not leave tomorrow for another job (82%).
How they actually get anything done at their Shoreditch office in London is another matter. Distractions from work include a PlayStation, a pinball machine, a pool table — host to a company pool league — and a mini-golf course, which consists of an artificial turf carpet around the office complete with strategically placed holes. Staff love working here and they are not ashamed to say so, giving Glue an 84% positive score in the process.
There is a “biscuits” meeting held every Monday morning, essentially an informal staff gathering where both social and company news is shared. The weekend mood is ushered in with Photoshop Friday when a picture of one unlucky employee is sent round to be doctored by anyone proficient in the design programme. With games such as these, it is no wonder staff say their team is fun to work with (86%).
There is plenty of energy channelled into charity work. The agency supports the advertising charity NABS (National Advertising Benevolent Society), entering football tournaments and other events. Staff share a common belief in the principles of their employer (87%).
Training is centred around knowledge sharing, with development on tap for those who need or want it. There is a monthly unsung hero award, and twice a year staff take part in a company away day; last year it was at the Big Chill festival. Staff recommend the firm to others as an employer (89%).
