With interesting and challenging work as well as good colleagues and perks on
offer, employees at Accenture know they are on to a good thing.
Staff think the experience they gain at work is valuable for their future,
earning the firm a 77% positive score in our survey, and say the job is good
for personal growth (76%).
The global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company,
winner of our special award for training and development, employs just over
11,000 people at eight offices around the UK. The organisation rewards its
staff well and Accenture employees are happy with both the pay and benefits
(62%).
Management consultants earn an average £70,000 a year while new graduates can
expect to start on about £31,000. Benefits include 39 weeks’ maternity leave
and two weeks’ paternity leave on full pay, a share option scheme, free
private healthcare, critical illness cover, life assurance and a
contributory pension into which the firm pays an average 11% of employees’
salary.
With advice from career counsellors and options which include classroom and
online training as well as job shadowing, opportunities to learn and grow
are not limited (65%) and the work is stimulating (72%). Added to that,
employees have confidence in the leadership skills of senior managers (71%),
who they also say are good listeners (58%).
Regular events bring colleagues together to learn, share experience and
network, resulting in good working relationships. People go out of their way
to help each other (77%, a top five score) and care about each other (76%)
and this team spirit is further enhanced by social outings.
Staff think the organisation is run on strong principles (73%) and is doing
its bit for the community (58%).
Employees can take advantage of a number of flexible working options such as
compressed hours, job sharing and part-time working.
They say that work is an important part of their life (75%), are proud to work
for Accenture (74%) and believe that they can make a difference in the
organisation (68%).
