“I’m not surprised by my results - it goes back to my parents, who always said: ‘I should do unto others what I’d like to be done unto me.’ It’s what I tell my own children - although my report said ‘[Angels] will break rules if they believe a higher principle is at stake’, which I think is a little inflexible. Context and circumstances must be considered and flexibility exercised where necessary, although that doesn’t sound like a weakness to me. That kind of dilemma is why I work in diversity. If everybody consciously took time to put themselves in the shoes of others, we’d all be in a better place”
