SIR CHRISTOPHER BLAND'S LESSON SUMMARISED

1. After year's of consultancy in a variety of organizations, Sir Christopher Bland devised Bland's Law.

2. Bland's Law states: The amount of skulduggery, backbiting, and general bad behavior in an organization is in direct proportion to the nobility of its goals.

3. One reason for this is that people often believe that because what they're doing is inherently good that achieving the goal by whatever means necessary is acceptable.

4. When such behaviour rears its ugly head, whether it’s from the CEO or the lowest person on the totem pole, the bad behaviour must be recognized and corrected.

5. While some amount of rivalry is unavoidable, truly bad behaviour must never be tolerated, let alone rewarded.
