You left out the 2562 album.
Black Kids are like Space, 10 years on - scene killers.
Ben, London,
Shelby Lynne's Just a Little Loving and Eileen Rose's At Our Tables really should be listed above.
Stuart, Sutton Coldfield, UK
Someone missed out on the great album by All Mighty Whispers
ella Townsend, Norwich, UK

elisha, hull, uk
Where's youthmovies mention in march? Album of the year thus far for me.
Woody, High wycombe,
With the honourable exception of Estelle and Gnarls this is a very "indie-centric" list .. not all the interesting music around at the moment is being made by white boys and girls with guitars.
Just for starters I might suggest Autechre's fine Quaristice album as well as any number of exciting new Dubstep releases.
Tonter, Manchester, UK
Lykke Li is my top tip. The music is fresh, beautiful and edgy.
Rory MacLeod, glasgow, scotland
Why aren't the Junipers mentioned on here? Or are they simply too good to join this lot?
Elin, Birmingham, UK
One band that should be HUGE in 2008/9 is The Jacks.
Check them out at www.myspace.com/thejackstunes
They're a refreshing change from the dross on show these days.
Seb Goldsmith, Northants,
how can you put Dylan & Drake in the same sentence as Damien Jack Tom David Whoever.
As for the British Sea Power album, it was released mid week so it was reviewed in the Ticket on Friday in the Times. Excellent, got 5 stars for originality. I think this is an overstatement though, its altogether very Doves for me, but excellent and FRESH!
As for my view of an album of the year so far... Dig Lazarus DIG!
Eoghan McCarthy, Cork, Ireland
Massive reviews on JACK SAVORETTI and debut album 'Between The Minds', best debut album for years, a mix of Bob Dylan, Nick Drake, Jack Johnson, Tom Baxter, Damien Rice, David Gray to name a few. Artists like Jack rarely get the recognition they deserve, amazing live, amazing lyrics, amazing talent. The future is bright, it's got to be JACK SAVORETTI for Brit award for 2008/2009.
JASON SMITH, WESTON-SUPER-MARE, UNITED KINGDOM
i dont like this girl adele
sarah, Coventry, England
Why did Sunday Times Culture not review the British Sea Power album? Seems a strange omission seeing as it's been getting such good reviews and will probably be nominated for the Mercury Prize.
