In the sequel to the 2004 adventure, Cage returns as Ben Gates, a treasure hunter on a quest to clear his ancestor of conspiring in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln by uncovering the truth behind the missing pages from the diary of John Wilkes Booth, his assassin.
It's a Da Vinci Code-style wild goose chase minus the thought-provoking subject matter and, if it's possible, with even more unfounded plot twists. Cage is no Indiana Jones, but the action, jokes and even the romantic sub-plot will probably keep the family entertained.
The only bonus feature is a director's commentary that touches on some historical truths buried within the plot.
